Land Acknowledgement

Bethesda House is situated on the Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas. We are proud to support women, children, and their pets on the land of the Peoples of Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. We express our profound recognition for the resilience and courage of Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit individuals who confront disproportionate levels of violence. In recognizing their strength, we commit ourselves to becoming better treaty partners and allies to our Indigenous communities. This commitment is grounded in raising awareness and calling attention to the enduring tragedy of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit individuals.
