PET FOSTER CARE
To provide short –term pet foster care while the owners are in shelter.
A major barrier to some women and their children leaving abuse is that they have no-one to care for their pets while they are in the shelter. Knowing they have a place for their pet to be safe will often make the decision to leave an abusive partner easier and get the woman / family to safety quicker. Foster care may be needed for just a few days or up to a few months.
